Hours: Full Time

Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £37,524 – £40,716 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Geography at University College London invites applications for a Lectureship in Human Geography. The postholder will be required to carry out teaching, research and administration within the Department.

 

We welcome outstanding applicants who have the ability to undertake and publish world-leading academic research, and show a commitment to innovative and research-based teaching. We particularly seek applicants whose work complements and extends the research and teaching interests of the Department in economy, environment, geo and biopolitics, migration, development, the city, and the postcolonial. The Department welcomes applicants with research interests in the Global South.

 

The post is available from 1 September 2016.

Key Requirements

Candidates must hold a PhD by the time they begin their appointment. They will be evaluated particularly on the quality and significance of their research and its alignment with Departmental interests. They must also demonstrate an aptitude for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department welcomes applicants who have a track record of public engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
