Assistant Professor of Gender and Global Public Health

The Women and Gender Studies Program and the Program in International Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Gender and Global Public Health to begin August 2015.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in both programs, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to conduct research in their areas of expertise, and to provide service to the programs and the university. The successful candidate will have a well-developed research agenda and a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Within the interdisciplinary field of gender and international/global public health, areas of interest include but are not limited to sexuality, reproduction, environment/climate change, conflict, development, disability, human rights, or other areas of similar interdisciplinary work.
The qualified candidate’s research and teaching will demonstrate a solid grounding in gender studies with an international or transnational focus. Candidates will likely have disciplinary training in fields such as anthropology, sociology, geography, history, economics, political science, women and gender studies, or other related fields, but should demonstrate an ability to do interdisciplinary work with an international focus, including teaching women and gender studies at the introductory level. Candidates must have a PhD in hand prior to the start of the appointment.
