Atlas.ti Training Workshop at the GC

The Sociology Students Association, Doctoral Students Council, and the CUNY
Space Time Research Collective are pleased to announce that registration is
now open to the first in a series of computer assisted data analysis
workshops. The upcoming workshop, which will be led by Dr. Denise Milstein
(Department of Sociology, Columbia University), will focus on Atlas.ti.
Atlas.ti is used to analyze primary and secondary data, and is a useful
skill to learn for researchers who are seeking to expand their
‘methodological toolbox’. The workshop will include an introduction to
qualitative data analysis using Atlas.ti, hands-on practice with real data,
a focus on any specific projects from participants, a discussion on the
usefulness of Atlas.ti in various qualitative projects, and a look at other
qualitative data analysis software packages used by researchers in the
field.

All Graduate Center students are welcome to register for this intensive
5-hour session on Friday May 3rd from 10am to 4pm (breakfast or lunch will
be provided).

Space is limited and participants *must register by April 18th* at
qual.workshop@gmail.com. Please note that *full participation will be
required, including a pre-workshop assignment*.
