Human/Cultural Geographies of migration flows in Southeast Asia (Assistant/Associate/Professor)

Included in this list is an opening for the position of human/cultural geographer (open rank) with a research and teaching focus on Southeast Asia.
Candidates with knowledge of the human migration and/or capital flows/patterns of the region are particularly welcome. Interest in development and environmental issues alongside the ability to situate research in a wider international perspective is also desirable. The successful candidate will hold a joint appointment with the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences. This will involve contributions to both the Institute and Faculty in terms of research, supervision and some limited teaching responsibilities at both undergraduate and graduate level. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Geography from a reputable university, a demonstrable track-record of excellence in research with internationally peer-reviewed publications and a proven capacity to initiate, lead and collaborate on research projects. The Institute has established ties with a number of universities and other key bodies globally alongside funding for research and graduate students. The aim is to establish IAS as a major knowledge hub in a growing network of Asian-based research establishments.
