Summary of Position:
The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a full-time (0.88 FTE, academic year – nine month) teaching position. The position will be for a three-year, renewable term. Continued employment beyond the initial three-year appointment is contingent on satisfactory performance and program needs. The lecturer will be responsible for teaching five units (typically 20 credit hours) per academic year, primarily in the Environmental Conservation and Sustainability (ECS) program. The initial teaching load will include Principles of Sustainability, Sustainable Living – Global Perspectives, Systems Thinking for Sustainable Solutions, and elements of the capstone experience for the ECS major. Courses in subsequent years will be determined based on the successful candidate’s expertise and the needs of the department. The lecturer will advise undergraduates in the ECS program and engage in on-campus and off-campus service activities.
An appointment for a lecturer position includes the full benefits package of the University for non-tenure-track faculty. Lecturers at UNH are represented by the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in natural resources, environmental studies, or a related field. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Because this is a full-time teaching position, prior successful teaching experience at the university level is required.
