LGBTQ Graduate Student Support Group

LGBTQ Graduate Student

Support Group

The Wellness Center, Student Counseling Services

Graduate school can be exciting and exhilarating; it can also be a source of stress. For graduate students who identify as LGBTQ, there may be additional stressors connected to the academic and social demands of graduate life. Do you worry about being out in your classroom or department? How do you manage instances of homophobia or heterosexism in school? How do you nurture and sustain your personal relationships, while facing the very real pressures of academic life?

The LGBTQ Graduate Student Support Group is an LGBTQ-friendly space to discuss the above issues and more.

Space is available for a limited time in this weekly support and discussion group for graduate students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning.

For more information, please visit our website http://cuny.is/wellnesscenter  and/or come to the Graduate Center’s Wellness Center, Room 6422 and complete a request for services form.  You will be contacted within a few days by one of the group leaders.

The application deadline for this group is October 1st.
