Weber State University is a primarily undergraduate institution located at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains in Ogden, Utah. For more than five decades, the institution has successfully maintained a dual mission by offering a wide range of baccalaureate programs and also by meeting regional community college needs.  The Department of Zoology embraces both missions through its programs (see http://www.weber.edu/zoology), and occupies modern labs and classrooms in the Tracy Hall Science Center that opened in Fall, 2016. Ogden is a beautiful city with a rich culture and history, and is located 45 minutes from Salt Lake City and its international airport. An average of 223 sunny days a year and immediate access to skiing, biking, camping, hiking, and fishing make it an outdoor paradise. More information about the Ogden area may be found at http://www.visitogden.com/

To apply, please complete the online application at http://jobs.weber.edu and attach a cover letter, statements of teaching philosophy and research plans, a CV, and unofficial transcripts. In addition, arrange for three (3) letters of recommendation to be emailed separately by the authors to the Department of Zoology at this address: zoology@weber.edu using “Urban Ecologist search” in the subject line.

Completed applications received by 30 November 2017 will receive highest priority and review of applicants will proceed immediately thereafter. Screening will continue until the position is filled.
