About the School/Program:
The breadth of programs offered in the College of Arts and Sciences provides the traditional strengths of a liberal arts education, with a focus on cultivating the intellectual and practical skills that students need for their personal and professional lives. The College of Arts and Sciences offers undergraduate majors in behavioral neuroscience, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, criminal justice, economics, English, game design and development, gerontology, history, independent majors, interdisciplinary studies, law in society, mathematics, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, Spanish language and literature, and theater. In addition, the College of Arts and Sciences has 31 undergraduate minors, a combined 4 + 1 BS in Biology/MS in molecular and cell biology program, and a master of science in molecular and cell biology program.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching physical science courses for non-science majors with a focus on both earth sciences and nutrition.
  • Current openings are during the daytime for earth science lab sections, early evening for earth science lecture and evening for sections of nutrition lecture.

Education Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a physical science discipline with background and interests in areas such as earth science, physical geology, astronomy, meteorology or other closely related fields is required for the earth science openings and chemistry or nutrition for the nutrition course openings.

Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
