Description
Bucknell University’s Department of International Relations is seeking to fill a 1-year visiting position to begin in August 2016.

The successful candidate will teach courses on the Middle East and required courses for the International Relations Major. Candidates are expected to have a PhD or have a Master’s degree and be ABD by the start date in Anthropology, Geography, History, International Relations, Political Economy, Political Science, Sociology, or other relevant interdisciplinary degree. We are interested in hiring candidates who are committed to Bucknell’s efforts to create a climate that fosters the growth and development of a diverse student body through innovative and inclusive pedagogy.

The Department of International Relations offers a multi-disciplinary major where students take courses from the International Relations faculty who have backgrounds in different disciplines, as well as courses offered in other departments. The successful candidate will teach a six course load, including Theories of International Relations and a course on globalization. The successful candidate should have teaching and/or research strengths in the Middle East with specialization in issues related to the Global South.
