This is a new dissertation fellowship for social science students, focused on community-based research. The Marilyn J. Gittell Dissertation Fellowship, established in honor of the late Political Science Professor at the CUNY Graduate Center, is for a social science doctoral candidate working on areas that concerned Marilyn Gittell, especially research focused on cities, urban politics, public policy, democratic and civic engagement, social movements, citizenship and governance, and community practices, both domestically and abroad.
