Part Time course instructor/Advising Assistant Needed ASAP

The Urban Studies Dept at Queens College is looking for someone to co-teach a spring seminar and to assist with advising for two of our nested majors – Environmental Studies and Labor Studies. This person will work closely with Melissa Checker, the instructor of record and faculty advisor, sharing her usual responsibilities while she is on partial medical leave this spring.

Compensation and hours will be the same as for an adjunct instructor.

The course is a senior internship seminar which guides students through semester-long internships and connects academic learning with on-the-job experiences. It is taught on Wed. evenings from 6:30-9:00 pm.

Advisement duties include arranging meetings with students to advise them on their progress towards degree, and working with the Faculty Advisor on various, associated administrative responsibilities.

Those interested should contact Melissa Checker ASAP.
